Cohorts and Registries: Pharmafield Supports the Pharmaceuticals Symposium on Rare Diseases
Pharmafield will be joining Pfizer and Sobi this week to organize the Pharmaceuticals conference intended to highlight the importance of Cohorts and Registries , "A central tool for therapeutic innovation in rare diseases." This Tuesday, November 29, attend this roundtable for free, which will feature numerous rare disease specialists and many other health professionals.

What is a cohort?
A cohort is a defined group of patients who are followed over a specific period of time, all with the aim of tracking the progression of the disease and identifying the occurrence of events of medical interest.
What is a registry?
A registry is an anonymized and secure database made up of a specific number of data (medical, administrative, etc.) from a group of patients from a geographically defined population who share a common characteristic.
The program
The conference will be structured around two successive round tables, each administered and moderated by numerous health specialists . It will conclude with the presentation of a Keynote on the sustainability of financing of such medical devices by addressing the essential subject of public‑private partnerships.
The first round table, moderated by: Hervé REQUILLART, Editorial Director of Pharmaceutiques , will focus on the indispensability of cohorts and registers in the therapeutic area of rare diseases.
The second round table will focus on best practices in the creation and structuring of cohorts, while also addressing the essential subject of the future European health data space.
The Keynote on cohort financing, specifically addressing the subject of public‑private partnerships, will be presented by Gilles VASSAL, pediatric oncologist practicing at Gustave Roussy and also President of ACCELERATE .
